The Darbus Show Archive
Date: January 22, 2010 (Tonight's theme: 1980s)
Length: 4:58:19On the The Darbus Show, I jumped into my DeLorean time machine and travelled in time back to the 1980s. I played a lot of great music and even some movie and TV show clips, and commercials from the '80s. Mrs. Darbus wasn't here for the show until about the last hour. She was away for the evening at a school-related function. Technical difficulties abounded, though, for the first hour and 15 minutes of the show. First the laptop from which I play the music died because of a low battery. For some reason the extension cord it was plugged into got unplugged earlier in the day. While scrambling to make room elsewhere to plug the laptop, I inadvertantly unplugged the cable modem, so I lost my Internet connection. Once I got the Internet and laptop back up, the music was choppy and skipping. I had to restart the laptop. Sheesh! Finally at 7:15, everything was back up and running just fine, and The Darbus Show went on as planned.
